Match Report
Sunday 7th November 1993
By Shaun Keddle
In the absence of Keith "Paint my head pink and call me a Swan Vesta" Soilleux, Bodge took over the managerial duties (which proves he can read and write) along with Neil "Psycho" Connelly, and after two Matchcards and a discussion who was fattest and unfittest (Dave Bandell won it unanimously) the match was underway.
We dominated the first half and came in to the interval 2-1 up although it should have been more. In the second half Dave "Please come back" Garratty completed his hat-trick after running the defence ragged despite a few vicious challenges from Oaks answer to Terry Nupkin. Five minutes left and the midfield fell apart allowing two slack goals and ultimately extra time.
A Darren Chalker hat-trick in extra time sealed victory.
It wasn't a pretty match with continual arguments amongst Farnborough players, which must be stopped. The Sunday team thrives on a good team spirit, and today that was absent. Man of the Match went again to the ever enthusiastic Regatty Queiros for his non-stop running, energy and eagerness, with Paul Bailey a close second with a tremendous display which gelled the defence together.
It would also be nice if more notice could be given when a player decides to pull out, but, I guess some people will never change!!!

P.S. A quick note about last week - Carlos tried to get away with paying as a junior. Next time it might succeed if you keep your pants on!
