Another battling performance by the Fourths. As usual Roger and Nick had to reshuffle their original team after two late drop outs. Their biggest headache was finding an able goalkeeper, no one in the team could be persuaded, 3 and in was one suggestion. While we were waiting to leave a number of people in the Clubhouse were approached, Graham Bailey, Vic Farrow, Roger Abbott, Eddie Hill, Val Beston.
Needless to say we asked Val first. Unfortunately nobody fancied it so we picked up Dean's mate Ryan on the way. In the Dressing Room Roger Lee, whose rapidly balding head is starting to resemble a turnip, gave us an in-depth and totally confusing team talk. With his words of wisdom still ringing in our ears we soon found ourselves 2-0 down. After this we began to play a bit and we pulled one back when Andy Beston latched on to a good pass from Nick to finish in style.
Just after the break we equalised when Stumpy converted a penalty. Sadly we couldn't capitalise and 2 late goals killed us
off. Top of the League this week - so let's give 'em what for!
