Sometimes you don''t get what you deserve in football.

A much better performance this week after a couple of very ''average'' displays. In fact how we didn''t win this match is still a mystery to me. Centresports are top of the league but we more than matched them for most of the game showing what a good side we can be when we try to play football. Our main problem is we are conceding too many goals - something me and Village are trying to sort out but is not helped by a couple of key players injured.

The game kicked off and we started quite slowly, we were struggling with our passing and the ball was a bit of a hot potato for 20 minutes. We went a goal down after being caught square at the back. This stung us into action and we suddenly started to pass the ball, Adam scoring after a great team move down the left, then we took the lead with another Adam free-kick which was unsaveable. A sloppy goal conceded just before half time whistle meant it was 2-2 at the break. It is such a shame we could not hold on to this lead till half time as we were clearly the better side and more importantly our passing game was back.

The second half was a similar story, with us having the better of the chances and we took the lead again, Barry Cleaver who at last turned up with scoring boots, finished after great work from Daragh and Jason Miller. Again we conceded a sloppy goal with a hopeful ball over the top and a fine finish by the Centresports forward. 3 all, but we were controlling the game. Several times the ball pinged about in the Centresports area but we just didn''t get the luck to score that vital 4th goal. Then with seconds remaining and a draw on the cards another lapse in concentration, and the Centresports forward turns and shoots into the bottom corner for a thoroughly undeserved winner. The whistle blows and we trudge off totally amazed and massively ****ed off by how we didn''t win the game.

Ray Perkins was man of the match closely followed by Daragh and Barry.

Despite this defeat, I cannot be unhappy with our performance, our commitment, passing and team play which was all very good. This will hopefully continue for the rest of the season, if it does we will definitely win more than we lose. So heads up everyone we played well and we are at home this week to Vista (kick off 10.30).
