Match Report
Sunday 25th September 2005

The scoreline basically tells the story.
For the first 25 minutes we played OK matching Midfield and having a couple of decent half chances, however a fine headed goal changed the game and we totally lost our way. Our passing game which was very good the week before suddenly went missing. Lee Cleaver and Dave Harrigan both picked up knocks and had to be replaced. We struggled to get quality passes to our forwards which meant our defence was constantly under pressure. Midfield are a young fit side and we really struggled to cope.
There are hardly any positives to take from the performance and it sure was one of my least enjoyable Sundays for some time. I think we all have to try and forget about it (I had nightmares about it last night) and try to get a result this Sunday. To do this we need everyone available, as many people at training as possible and players wanting to give that bit extra which can mean the difference between winning and losing. This goes for the whole club who over the last two weeks have played 12, won 1, drew 1, and lost 10, which is clearly not good enough.
Village and myself know we have weaknesses in our squad and this isn''t helped by constantly having players unavailable or unfit to play 90 minutes.
We all must pull together, roll up our sleeves and try that little bit harder.
