Match Report
Saturday 17th September 2005
By Paul Parsons
We went into the game confident after our last 45 minutes from last week...well, we should have.
The line up was strong and again our plaices were clear but we failed to crab the initiative in the first half. We created a rod for our own backs by not being tight enough to the opposition and we seemed weary in the challenges. Haddock we carried on from the game last week where we were perched on victory I am sure we cod have scored a couple in the first half.
However it was not to be and we went in 2-0 down from defensive errors. Herring the cry from the manager to create more down the line, we duly stepped up the plaice and looked mackerel confident. Again and again we made them look like fish out of water and Richard Tapsfield managed to score a good goal to pilchard one back with only 10 minutes remaining.
However Salmon managed to salmon the energy to keep us at bay.
Our next port of call is Wickham Park next week, so all hands on deck, and let''s see if we can get something out of this one.
