Kent Junior Cup B
Quarter-final

I said in last week''s newsletter this was a big weekend for the club and basically we ballsed it right up!!!!
I obviously I never saw the First team game Saturday but I''m told that Bridon are a quality outfit and can''t comment much on that - I’m sure Shaun will tell all in his report. However it’s Bridon again this week so a chance to get revenge on one of the Meccas of football (Meridian Sports Ground).
The Seconds travelled down to Rochester with a decent squad and were the much better side but just didn''t play much football, too many players had poor games and we were sucked into a game of hoofball. I think the windy conditions didn''t help and the changing rooms that made a cowshed look 4 star and made you really appreciate how nice Farnborough is. For the first 20 minutes of the game we dominated but never really threatened the opposition goal and we fell behind to a sucker punch. Prince of Wales'' first goal was from a corner needlessly conceded and then their attacker handballed it, but instead of playing to the whistle 8 players all stopped and Prince of Wales shot it into an empty net. Kevin Ives soon equalised with a great header from a Daragh cross and we went in at half-time 1 - 1.
Again we started the second half well with Ray having a couple of shots including one which produced a brilliant save from the keeper. However we couldn''t make the pressure tell and lost the game due to a long throw and poor marking. The fact the fella scored with his knee says it all. We still kept pressing but couldn''t produce the equaliser. The whistle blows and Farnborough jump into the cars and go back to much nicer surroundings for a good whinge.
Back at the club I hear that the Thirds, Fourths and Millwall all won, which basically ended a not very enjoyable day on a good note. The Seconds now must concentrate on the league and try to finish in the top two, this means winning all 5 of our remaining games.
