This week we played the team directly above us in the League, one point separating us. After last week's 1-0 win over second in the table Old Roan, we were on a high.

From the off we dominated the game playing the better football and we soon went one up when, after goodwork from Neil and Des, Colin struck a ball in the back of the net from all of two yards. We were working hard and it paid off, two more goals before half-time from Des Lindsay and Rob Davis.

We started the second half as we had finished the first with our stand-in striker Rob Davis giving their keeper no chance with a 35 yard volley. Johnson & Phillips started putting pressure gon us and pulled a goal back. Neil Connelly then found himself with only the keeper to beat, lobbed it goalwards and, just to make sure blasted it in on the goal line. Our sixth was again well taken by Neil after the Ref overruled their linesmen's dodgy offside decision, which was long overdue and was about the only thing the Ref did right all game! Still it was good to see the team working as a unit. Jez making a couple of good saves, the defence not letting their forwards run with the ball and midfield dominating the middle of the pitch. A mention for Guy Plater who didn't stop running all game and made a great tackle when they broke through our defence in the second half, the front three making chances as always but this week converting them into goals.

With nine games to go, on this form we can get into a reasonable position in the league.
