Sevenoaks Cup
Semi-final

First XI
Dave Power

Sevenoaks Town

Well the First Eleven went out of the Sevenoaks Charity Cup yet again, but we did reach the semi-final. My opinion was that some of the First XI Eleven players did not believe they could win this game. Sevenoaks Town arrived looking very smart in Suits, Blazers, Shirts and ties and then went out on the pitch in smart track suits for a warm up looking a rather professional outfit. This seemed to zap some of our players heads!!!

They took an early lead and held on comfortably through the first half although Gary Napier did hit the post. At the start of the second half we had more fire in our bellies and Dave Power hit home a good equaliser. A few minutes later a clear penalty against us, which the culprit has taken much too much stick than should be necessary, which put them on top again. A few minutes later they scored a good goal and the game was virtually over. Good displays from Nigel Davies at the back, Toby Harlow in midfield and MOM Gary Napier up front. We have to really concentrate on the league now and really go for promotion!

Who was the player who should have written a match report?
