Just in case one of my ever reliable lads forgets, once again, to write a match report, I write for you:-

With our last two games being called off decision time was upon us, with this curtain raiser to next week's Cup Semi Final against Sevenoaks Town. Dave Garratty was back with us after being freed from his Saturday work commitment and of course his loyal supporters (and Yes the same ones as last year).

With a team already counting four very competent goal scorers could we afford to add another? We played with three up front Terry, Dave and Gary and on this occasion it worked. There were quite a few reasons why it worked, Paul Tant & Geoff's tireless work in midfield, Ian and Nigel's tight marking at the back and Graham's skills on the right flank were outstanding. But I felt one of the major features was Terry adapting his game, he showed for the ball on many occasions and also took on responsibility for dropping back as and when required.

We played well as a team scored 4 good goals, Terry got the first, a cool finish after a good build up, Dave G.'s early vision put Graham away for the 2nd. Dave got the third after a good save froin the keeper. Gary was rewarded for all his tireless running with a crisp finish in the 2nd half. The score could have been double figures if not for an outstanding game by the keeper and the one or two that bobbled!!!!

Paul Bailey came on for the last half hour and confirmed I had got the decision right as well, his week .on the health farm did not work.

Anyway a tough game to savour this week.

Also keep an eye on that league table's dropped points: Bickley (8}, Drummond (8}, FOBG (10), games to play include both Bickley and Drummond, the clues are there!
