First Eleven Match round-up

Football at last and another great win over Senior opposition.

Why we are able to beat these top sides yet have dropped points in the League? I asked myself the same question. To find the answer I looked through teams for 93 to find I have been forced to use 25 players. Only one player started in every game. It's no wonder we have struggled. I cant believe any other amateur Club could have, especially still fielding 3 other sides.

The second team has suffered most because I have taken players week after week and not passed many down. I think the First team squad is becoming more stable and our last 3 wins have highlighted this. When all players are available I am sure the 2nds will get themselves into a respectable position in the league.

The last 3 wins were Westerham 3-1, Kent Premier League, Wellcome Division One leaders 3-1, and Otford Kent Premier League 2-0, were all won with out and out team work, everyone working for each other. If this is maintained, which I know it can be we may ever find ourselves back in promotion contention. I don't see it as a coincidence either that we have had an excellent turn out at training over the past weeks.

Well done all concerned let's maintain our team spirit and get some silverware for the new Club cabinet preferably promotion.
