Player ratings out of 10

GK - Gary Rosslee, 6.
Not called into any real action all game, beaten by a good free kick second half.

LB - Matt Wright, 7.
Solid game at left back, provided good support and service to the left wingers

CB - Rowan Foggitt, 9 MOM (4 votes)
Excellent at the back and then deployed into midfield late on, capped MOM performance with a well taken individual goal.

CB - Chris Rawley, 8.
Scored a collector’s item second half before coming injured with an injury late on courtesy of a “hospital ball” from Cheesman. Solid game.

RB – Brett Cheesman, 8.
Handbags late on with one of their midfield players, didn’t give the ball away once (apparently).

LM – Paul Tanton, 8.
Scored the opener with a mazy run and exquisite finish.

CM- Jim St John, 7.
By his own standards rather a quiet game this week!

CM - Dean Murphy, 8.
Run Rowan close (3 votes) for MOM with another box to box performance!

RM – Ben Clunge, 4.
More air shots than a Nazi Aircraft! Didn’t fall over this week!

CF- Si Davies, 8.
Appears to be getting better every week and scored a well taken goal second half.

CF, Pete Harvey, 8.
Showed glimpses of the Pete Harvey of old, best game in a Farnborough shirt this season so far. 3 MOM votes

Subs

Neil (Nick) Pearce, 9.
Deployed at right midfield second half and chipped in with a brace, both efforts made Gary Linekers goals look like 30 yard screamers!

Neil Connelly, 7.
Used at Left back and left midfield second half. Decent 45.

Andy Cobham, 7.
Used as a second half sub, made some well-timed tackles.

Match summary,

Well done lads for another win today, yes we made hard work of it for nearly an hour but like I've said before we win nearly all of our games in the 2nd half or the last 30 mins, we are not conceding many either so it's a great trait to have and is testament to our fitness and skill levels. It's frustrating to see us struggling early doors in games but great to see everyone having faith in each other and each other's ability to come out on top each week, lots of hard work went into that today in awful conditions and not the best playing surface, well done!! Some good goals today Simon’s and Paul's being the pick of them (sorry Neil and Rowan).

A good little stat for us to know is that's our 82nd win as a vets team in 5 and a bit seasons, would be amazing if we can achieve 100 wins as a side this season, would mean us winning the most games we've ever achieved in one season but what an achievement that would be! And I'm convinced we can manage it.

Great result today lads lets carry it on next week away to Toby vets who are a decent side who we normally beat, carry on playing for each other and carry on enjoying.
